Thousands of people around the world are responding to a tweet by Roger Federer. He demonstrated a helpful solo tennis drill you can do at home, and of course, he made it look easier than it is.
He then tagged several tennis players and celebrities, including Serena, Novak Djokovic, LeBron James, Bill Gates, Justin Timberlake, Lindsey Vonn, Thierry Henry, Chris Hemsworth and Lewis Hamilton, and the rest is history.
Here are some of the responses.
.@rogerfederer asked celebs & fans to show their tennis skills…@DjokerNole, @CocoGauff, @lindseyvonn, @RealHughJackman, @SofiaKenin & many more came up with these classic videos! 😂#tennisathome pic.twitter.com/QZ2g8GT8jd— ATP Tour (@atptour) April 9, 2020
Andy Murray and his wife Kim added their own twist the the 100 Volley Challenge.
A challenge to all tennis players and fans… The 💯 volley challenge. There was no bickering during the filming of the video 🙄, although I think the last volley was aimed at my head… I can’t be the only one that wants to see Rog and Mirka hitting a few balls together…🎾 pic.twitter.com/c0lMnNuSSQ— Andy Murray (@andy_murray) April 9, 2020
As of this writing, Federer has yet to respond to Murray’s challenge, citing his wife’s social media shyness.
It’s fun to see the world coming together around tennis like this.
Have you tried the Backboard Challenge or 100 Volley Challenge yet?
